Long Family Dental offers comprehensive dental care. Most of the treatments you may need to protect and enhance your smile can be found right here. Below, you can learn more about our dental services and how they can benefit your oral health!

Explore All Our Dental Services
1 Keeping Your Smile in Excellent Shape

Preventive Dentistry

We can identify dental problems in their earliest stages or even before they start to do any damage. When caught that early, it becomes much easier to treat the issue and keep your smile looking bright! In addition to dedicated professional checkups and cleanings, we also provide fluoride treatments and custom mouthguards as additional protective measures.

2 Repairing Broken and Worn-Down Teeth

Restorative Dentistry

Regular brushing and flossing can make a difference, but even the best of care won’t necessarily prevent your teeth from being injured or worn down as time goes by. Tooth-colored fillings and porcelain crowns can be used to repair and protect the teeth for years. Even if age has taken its toll on your smile, it can still be rejuvenated with the right restoration.

3 Helping Nervous Patients Relax

IV & Oral Sedation Dentistry

A lot of patients would rather skip their appointments than go through the stress and anxiety of a dental procedure, but of course your teeth can very easily end up paying the price for this decision. Our doctors are able to provide IV and oral sedation that can help even severely phobic patients feel comfortable in the dental chair.

How Do I Get Emergency Dental Care?

In the event of an emergency dental situation, follow these steps to ensure prompt and proper care:

  • Call the Practice – Begin by contacting our practice. Our trained staff is ready to assist you, offering guidance and ensuring you receive the necessary care.
  • Life-Threatening Emergency – If you suspect a life-threatening situation (i.e., difficulty breathing, trouble swallowing, a fractured jaw), dial 911 immediately.
  • Avoid ERs and Urgent Care Clinics – Keep in mind that conventional emergency rooms and urgent care clinics may not be equipped for dental emergencies, potentially causing treatment delays.
  • Expect Same-Day Appointments – We strive to provide same-day appointments for most emergencies. If our practice offers extended hours or Saturday availability, we'll promptly accommodate you.
  • Prioritize Regular Dental Visits – Emergencies often signal underlying dental issues. Be sure to stay on top of your routine checkups to prevent future complications, ultimately saving you time, money, and preserving your natural teeth.

How Do I Find the Best Place to Get Dental Work Done?

To find the best place for dental work, start by clearly defining your preferences and needs. Begin with a Google search for "dentist near me" to locate top-rated options. Pay close attention to reviews as they provide valuable insights.

For many, an ideal dental office offers a skilled team, a wide range of services, acceptance of insurance, and a strong emphasis on cleanliness. If these factors align with your criteria, look no further. We at Long Family Dental of Midlothian are dedicated to meeting these standards and would be honored to serve as your trusted dentist.

How Can I Make a Same-Day Appointment with a Dentist?

Phone calls are the quickest way to get a response, allowing the staff to assess your situation and expedite your care. Same-day appointments typically focus on assessing the issue, alleviating pain, and formulating a treatment plan. In some cases, more advanced treatments may be completed during the visit.

What to Do If You Can’t Afford a Dentist?

You don’t have to worry about paying for your dental care – we offer several avenues to help you save. We welcome dental insurance and accept flexible financing options through CareCredit. It’s worth noting that prioritizing preventive care is key to keeping treatment costs low. Biannual visits catch oral health issues early, preventing them from escalating. Every dollar invested in preventive care can save you between $8 and $50 on cosmetic and restorative treatments in the long run.
